James “Jimmy” Morris Hiroskey II, 42, of Statesboro, Georgia, was born September 28, 1983, in Charleston, West Virginia. On April 19, 2026, after a brief illness, Jimmy’s physical body left this realm at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia, but the love, memories, and spirit he shared with those who loved him will remain forever.

Jimmy, the beloved son of Shelia L. Trammell Hiroskey and James M. Hiroskey Sr., touched many lives as a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, grandson, and friend. 

Jimmy’s sense of humor and infectious laugh could light up a room and will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. His way of bringing laughter and joy to the people around him created memories that will be treasured forever.

Jimmy also carried a love for God in his heart, a quiet and personal part of who he is.

Jimmy loved spending time with his family and those closest to him. He especially enjoyed fishing, as well as nature, music, gaming, and spending time at the beach. Daytona Beach held a special place in his heart from the time he was a little boy and remained his favorite place throughout his life.

Jimmy graduated from Logan High School in 2002. He later worked as a plumber for Jim Hiroskey Plumbing Contractor, a trade he took great pride in until he became disabled.

Those who continue to carry Jimmy’s love and memory include his mother, Shelia L. Trammell Hiroskey; his father, James M. Hiroskey Sr.; his daughters, Jenna Barrett, Mya Horton, and Jalissa Turner; his grandchildren, Ava, Kegan, and Zy’Mir; his sisters, Lora Hiroskey, Skyla Hiroskey (Chad Beggs), and Sierra Hiroskey Anderson (Tim Anderson); his grandmothers, Jane Trammell and Peggy Hiroskey; Katie Bell, whose friendship, love, and companionship held a special place in his heart; his best friend, Justin Chirico; and many extended family members and friends.

Jimmy was welcomed in spirit by those who preceded him, including his grandfathers, Richard L. Trammell and Eugene M. Hiroskey; his great-grandparents, Pauline Holt Adams, Romeo Clifford McClellan and Madge Watson McClellan, and Robert L. Stone and Nellie Floyd Stone; his aunt, Carol B. Trammell; his uncle, Robert “Bobby” Hiroskey; and his cousin, David Chase Trammell.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Logan Church of the Nazarene, 410 Dingess Street, Logan, West Virginia.

Pastor Daryl Densford will be Officiating.

Jimmy will always be remembered for the love he shared, the memories he created, and the place he will forever hold in the hearts of his family and friends.

Though we can no longer see him with our eyes or hold him with our hands, love does not end with physical life.

Jimmy is always loved and always with us.
