Gerson Torres-Rivera, age 87, a 30 Year US Retired Army Veteran, passed away on May 10, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Carmen Rivera and siblings, Mike Rivera, Carlos Rivera, and Lydia Rivera.

Gerson leaves behind to mourn his memory his beloved wife of 64 years, Karin Rivera, and children, Carmen Gray (TJ), Luis Alberto Rivera (Mildred), Karin Neomi Roman (Tomas), and Miguel Rivera (Debbie). Grandfather to Marcus Roman, Dominic Rivera, Naomi Moore, Jonathan Gray, Brandon, Dylan, and Ridge Rivera. and great grandfather to many.

Services for Mr. Rivera will be held Thursday, May 14th at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Bulloch Funeral Care and Cremation, 22757 US 80, Statesboro, GA 30461. Chaplain 1LT Kenya Anderson will officiate.
