Edward Malcolm Brussard

Edward Malcolm Brussard, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 8, 2026. He was born on April 11, 1939 in Malden, Massachusetts, the son of Edward and Margaret Brussard.

At the age of 19, Edward proudly answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps. He served with honor and dedication, attaining the rank of Corporal (E-4). His service was an important part of his life, and he carried the values of dedication, strength, and commitment with him throughout the years. 

Edward was a man who loved his family deeply. His greatest joy and proudest moments came from spending time with the people he loved most. Among his most cherished memories were his marriage of nearly 66 years to his beloved wife, Glenda, and watching his three children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren come into the world and grow throughout the years. His family and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ were the centers of his life, and the love he had for them will continue throughout the generations.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Margaret Brussard; his sister, Peggy Brussard; and his son-in-law, Glen Daviss. He leaves behind to honor and remember his life, his loving wife, Glenda Deal Brussard; his children, Donna Daviss; Michael Brussard and his wife, Makiko; and Sandra Ward and her husband, Bucky. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Julie Daviss Sealy and her husband, Ethan; Kathleen Ward Brown and her husband, Eric; Benjamin Ward; Alexander Brussard; and Charlotte Brussard, as well as his beloved great-grandchildren, Daviss and Ellie Sealy and Henry and Frederick Brown. Outside of family, Edward enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for woodworking and fishing and found joy in spending time outdoors and was an avid reader of a variety of books. 

Most importantly, Edward loved the Lord his God with all his heart, with all his soul, and with all his mind. Likewise, as our Lord commanded, he loved others as he loved himself.

Edward was an Honorary Life Member and Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus. A devoted member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, he faithfully served his parish, his community, and the Knights of Columbus for many years. He was a Past Grand Knight of Council 14275 and a Past Faithful Navigator of Assembly 4034, leaving a lasting legacy of faith, leadership, and service.

Edward leaves behind a lifetime of love, faith, family, and cherished memories. While his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him, his family takes comfort in knowing that the love he gave them will remain in their hearts forever. His greatest accomplishments were not measured by titles or possessions, but by the family he built, the lives he touched, and the love he shared. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
