Christine Rogers Altman, age 99, passed away October 11, 2026, in Statesboro Ga.

Christine is a 1943 graduate of Statesboro High School and the Paris Beauty School. She was married to Mr. J.G. Altman for 62 wonderful years and remained a faithful member of the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church and Faith Bible Study Class. She worked for many years as a hairdresser and a prominent business owner in the city of Statesboro.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore R. Rogers and Mattie Newton Rogers, a sister Evelyn Hodges and her grandson Fred Page III. She is survived by her son, Johnny Altman and Daughter Jane Altman Page (Greg Brock) and four grandchildren, John Brannen "JJ" Altman (Amy), Jill Altman Vickery (Bill), Jana Christine Newland (David) and John Page. Great Grandmother of ten and Great-Great Grandmother of three. Sister Betty Griffin along with many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 11:00 am at Eastside Cemetery.
