Obituary

Brian McGlamery, age 57, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away on April 1, 2026, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

A proud Statesboro native, Brian deeply loved his hometown and the community that shaped him. He was a 1986 graduate of Statesboro High School and continued his education at Georgia Military College before earning his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia Southern University.

Brian honorably served his country as a veteran and went on to build a distinguished career in law enforcement. He worked in California as a Border Patrol agent and began his role as an Assistant Special Agent for The Labor Department on September 11, 2001—a date that reflected his commitment to service during a pivotal moment in American history.

A man of strong faith, Brian was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church, where he found great joy in volunteering with youth groups and participating in supper club gatherings. He had a generous spirit and was always willing to lend his time and energy to others.

Brian enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including hunting, fishing, music, and his appreciation for Vietnamese food. He was known for his warmth, loyalty, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved children, Brynn McGlamery and Everett McGlamery; his mother, Florence McGlamery; his sister, Johnna Thomas; and his brother, Kirk McGlamery. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly, as well as his special friends, the Howard family, who held a cherished place in his life.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Johnny McGlamery.

His legacy of service, kindness, and dedication to family and community will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held Saturday on April 4th 2026 at Pittman Park at 2:00 P.M. with coffee and light refreshments.
