Bonnie McCree Smail, 87, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026

in Statesboro, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband,

Glenn W. Smail and her parents, Donald H. McCree and

 Elna Van Houten McCree.

Survivors include her two daughters Kim McClurg (Matt) of Clarkesville,

Georgia and Karen Dennis (Ed) of Brooklet, Georgia; two grandchildren

Madeline McClurg and Hunter Lawson and two bonus grandsons, Eddie

and Tucker Dennis; brother Donald McCree, Jr.; nephews, Donald

McCree, III (Gabby), Doug McCree (Heidi), David McCree (Robyn), David

Postma (Angela), and niece Susan Postma Kennedy (Rob).

Bonnie and her family appreciated all of the love, care, and attention

given by the staffs of Willow Pond and Affinity Care Hospice.

A private service will be held at a later date. Words of comfort may be

donations may be sent to Fixing the Boro in Statesboro, Georgia, as

Bonnie had a special love for animals.
